Small Group Instruction
The OnlineFlagger.com class was designed for one student one computer. However, the reality is a couple of people can congregate around a single computer monitor and view the class. This is all based based on your computer screen size. Be realistic do not put five people around a 14 inch monitor and expect anyone to learn about flagging. To accommodate small groups where it is limited to 2 to 5 people, we put have put into place the following procedure.
Follow this procedure:
1. Run the system test to check your computer system, to ensure it passes the system requirements. If everything checks out this test will guide you to the the class login page.
2. A course must be purchased for each person taking the group class. Choose Purchase from the left Navigation Bar and choose the state you want to purchase a class for.
All participants in the group must take the same state course.
The purchase can be made individually or one person can pay for all students.
NOTE: The wallet card is sent to the shipping address chosen at the time of purchase.
3. After the Purchase, the administrator must register each student individually. Follow the on screen instructions or from the confirmation of purchase, email.
4.
Of these students determine which one will be the "first" one that logs in to start the course.
The "first" person that logs in, will be the person that takes the exam immediately following the first course.
Email us the Full Name and UserName of each student in the group. Indicate who the "first" person will be.
All other group members must be assigned a special class status by OnlineFlagger.com staff, that allows them to go directly to the exam. Without this status they will fail the class.
Do not start the course until you have received a email from us acknowledging your group class and containing specific instructions on how to take this class.
5. Please note, in a group setting, individuals with “computer shyness” tend to have a higher failure rate of the demonstration portion of the test. It is not a big deal but an appointment to re-take the demonstration is required. As part of the exam each student must use the computer to demonstrate how to Stop, Slow, and Release traffic. This is a bit harder than it sounds if the student just observed. We strongly suggest that each student practice hands-on in the non-graded area. To practice click here.
For beginners: A mouse you hold in your hand is highly recommended, over a touch pad.
