Class Particulars

What if I am a person who has a hard time taking tests, will you read it to me?

The entire class contains audio to assist in the learning process. The exam questions and answer are not read to you, because they are presented in a random order. You must select the answer from the choices provided.
How do I purchase classes? Follow the link below to see a layout of the purchasing process.
What Languages is the class presented in? It is presented in English only, and it is best if you know how to read and understand English
When does my card expire? Your card will expire on the date shown on your card. Expiration varies between states.
Can I use a check or Purchase Orders?

We will accept checks but a class will not be available until we have processed it.

We will accept Purchase Orders from government agencies only and established accounts. Payments are due within 10 days.

We do not accept checks from individuals. Visa purchase cards may be obtained from stores like Walmart. A minimum of $65.00 must be available on the card.

Where will my flagger registration card be mailed to? Your flagger registration card will be mailed to the address that was used to purchase the OnlineFlagger.com course. If you personally purchased the class, the card will be mailed to your address. If a company purchased the class, the card is mailed to the address they supplied at the time of purchase.
What if the MUTCD changes? The class is modified to stay current with the MUTCD.
How do I know the person completed the whole class? You may verify the students completion of the class, by clicking on this link. You will be required to enter a Unique Student ID provided either by the student, or on the email notification, sent to the administrator of the class.
My state requires training but not certification. If your state accepts the ATSSA flagger training course you will still receive a registration card in the mail.
What if the student fails? If a student fails the written exam, the student is required to retake the course. A new fee will apply. If they only failed the demonstration part of the test we can arrange for a retake. This requires them to practice, call us when they are at a computer and we will remote access to watch them take it again.
How long do I have to use the course and test? The computer is very patient. Once you purchase a class you can use them at anytime, they do not expire. Companies can take advantage of the available discounts by purchasing higher quantities of classes at one time, then assign classes to individual students as the need arises.
What are the minimum requirements to become a flagger? According to the Federal Manual On Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) it states:
What curriculum do you use? The American Traffic Safety Services Association or ATSSA.
How do you grade the demonstration portion of the test? As part of the final exam, you must demonstrate how to Stop, Release, and Slow traffic with a Stop/Slow Paddle and with a flag. In a classroom scenario, you would stand in front of the Instructor and demonstrate how to properly flag traffic.

For a computer delivered class, we have taken the flagger symbol off the flagger sign and created a flagger “puppet”. You will use controls on the screen to move the “puppet” into the proper flagging position. There are controls for, which hand to the hold the paddle, whether it is on STOP or SLOW, upper and lower arm controls, which way are you are facing, wrist movement, and where you are to stand. Give it a try.
I need to review a certain part of the class before taking the exam what can I do? At the end of the class, but before the exam you will have an opportunity to view the various parts of the flagger movie.
How much time does the class take? The class is a minimum of three hours long. Then the student takes the final exam.
I have bought several classes and the people are going to take the course at home, how do we check to make sure their computer meets the system requirements? They can check their computer system by going to our web site. Click on the link provided. They will review the information on this page and then click on the system test link to actually check their computer.
What are the system requirements? Our class is web based and designed for Internet Explorer and running on a Windows based computer. Other Operating Systems and Browsers will most likely work but we do not support those systems. Please run our system test from the system requirements page of our web site.
